Why Awosting?
Awosting is a camp that emphasizes individual attention to campers by our experienced, caring staff and camp administration. Life at Awosting is informal and friendly. This close-knit atmosphere allows us to focus on developing Awosting’s core values in our campers – brotherhood, independence, confidence and experience. Our primary focus is maintaining a safe and respectful environment that encourages both personal growth and creates an unforgettable summer experience.
Boys Learn By Doing
Our camp philosophy for over 100 years. Boys are encouraged to try every activity at camp. Every day you do something new, you learn something new.

Water Skiing & more!
Learn to ski or wakeboard on Bantam Lake, Connecticut’s largest natural lake. Awosting’s waterfront keeps boys busy with great activities like sailing, canoeing, paddleboarding, fishing and even surfing!

Motor Sports Adventures
Awosting is one of the few camps in the Northeast with an expansive motor sports program. All campers can race one of our Go-Karts around the track and older campers can try their hand at Motorcross.

Everyone Fits In
Any boy can find activities they love and make new friends at Awosting. Sports stars, artistic types, outdoorsmen, and soften spoken boys all feel at home here.

Incredible Role Models
We search the globe in order to find the finest men (and a few women) to be excellent leaders for our boys. They are kind, caring, compassionate, strong, experienced and skilled in their activity areas. Instant role models and life-long big brothers.

Close Knit Community
Awosting accepts a maximum of 165 campers each session. We feel it is important that all staff get to know every camper well in order for every camper to have the best camp experience possible.

A Summer Tradition
For well over 100 years, boys all around the world have made Awosting their summer tradition. We are a great choice for “first time” campers. Come experience what makes our camp so special.

Location
Not too close, but not too far away either! Awosting is located on Bantam Lake in beautiful Litchfield County, CT. It’s ~2 hours from New York City or Boston and ~3 hours from Princeton. Schedule your tour today or let us bring Awosting to you with a home visit!

Sister, Sister!
We offer campers the “boys-only” camp experience, where boys can be themselves and grow as individuals, without the pressure of trying to impress the girls. At the same time, they have a few opportunities for shared activities with the girls at nearby Camp Chinqueka, like special events and friendly activity exchanges.
