Camp Awosting is located on Bantam Lake, the state's largest natural lake, nestled in the rolling hills of
Connecticut's Litchfield County.
We offer families the option to come and tour our camp in the fall and the spring, to see first-hand what our
facilities are like. Upcoming open house and tour dates can be arranged by appointment. Contact Pauline Jepson by phone (860) 307-2901 or
email if you wish to make an appointment.
Some important notes regarding tours:
- All tours are on Sundays. Hours for tours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- You must call us in advance to schedule a tour. Because the camp is closed during the off season, it is critical that you
call for a specific appointment. If not, no one will be present to show you around the camps and answer your questions.
- If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call us.
- In the event of inclement weather please call to confirm or cancel. To reach someone the weekend of the tour for
cancellation, confirmation or directions you may email Pauline Jepson at
info@awosting.com
- Camp can be muddy in the fall and spring so please wear proper attire for walking around the camps. Our terrain is hilly
and the ground may be muddy at times during the spring or after the winter snow melts.
- Our water has been turned off for the winter and will not be turned on again until late spring. Therefore,
there are no toilet facilities for the tours. Please plan accordingly.
